Were you a wren drafted to HMS Tamar in 1972 and living in the Penthouse WRNS Quarters in Bonham Towers? Did you know any of the Wrens through social events or did you attend one of the monthly Wrens parties there? A group of former Wrens who were based there in 1972-73 would like to invite you to a proposed 40th reunion to be held on Saturday 8th September 2012. Venue to be confirmed but likely to be Pompey. We would love to meet you again and catch up on the years in between. We need to establish interest levels before confirming the venue.

I was one of the first wrens at Tamar in Jan 1971. There were two of us living in a smaller flat about half way up the peak. We increased to 4 and moved to Bonham Towers. Had my 21st birthday party there. I was a Writer(S) in the Commodore’s office. Happy Days!! |
