23 May To 18 February 2005 |
| Weymouth PDorset United Kingdom |
I write this in rememberance of my husband who served with 43 Royal Marine Commando and took part in North Africa, Pantelira, Sicily and Italy invasions, being wounded three times before getting his fourth and "Blighty" fighting in Yugaslavia. Sadly, his "Blighty" meant he was medically discharged and could not return to his previous life in the Merchant Navy.
Nevertheless, he went on to lead a very full life working for Pan Am and latterly with the Royal Air Force Museum before retiring in 1985. Married in 1977, he was a loving and faithful husband and a good friend. He is sadly missed. |
