Jimmy Quinn served in North Africa in a place called Bougie in Algeria moving along with the advance and on the day war ended was in Trieste...He was demobbed ater being first at Rosyth and later at Anthorn Fleet Air Arm Cumbria he lived in Carlisle Cumbria for the rest of his life working for British Rail a native of Tyneside......He joined before he was old enough to be a combatant and was in NAAFI Royal Navy in Uniform and obviousley ran the same risks as combatants...during his service....."They also serve" He was my brother in law and a fine man........ |
