I remember well the tragic accident in which Tom lost his Life. Still living in Berlin about a mile from the British Cemetery I have been able to visit his grave on the Heer Strasse where he lays with heroes of the Berlin Air Lift. He is not Forgotten |

I too remember Tom and the accident which took his life. I visited his grave in 1989 and said a hello to an old mate. |

I served with Tom in RMP training squad 646 at Inkerman Barracks, Woking, Surrey, from July 11, 1957 to Nov. 23, 1957, when we left for our postings. Tom was was forever cheerful and thoroughly inspiring as we survived the trials and tribulations of RMP training. His "Geordie accent" was a joy to listen to. I was never more shocked and saddened by news of his death. |
