This Gent had me going.First,giving way to me on a bus,I had two cases.Second,Rippon Barracks Bielefeld.Waiting for a mate in the medical centre.Told he was being sent to BMH Rinteln,a passing figure asked,Got transport ?.,Im OK I replied.Where is it your from ?.Catterick,good, jump in my cars outside.There it was,with front and rear red plates and stars.Just a short hop up the road.Going to see your CO,good chap im told.Its not for me to,we were at HQ 10 Regt HQ.No love lost between me and the then Provost Sgt,but when he opened the door and threw one up he looked evil,Friend of mine Sarg said the brigadier,OK young man lift ok ?,Nothing wrong with the lift or the officer whos car it is sir I swiftly replied as I took refuge in Chippy Woods Post Room.No.There certainly wasnt anything wrong with him or his car.No doubts that is why he was a Brigadier.RIP Brigadier,RIP. |

The Officer visited the Cookhouse in 10 Regt aand stopped at my table,EVERTHING OK GENTLEMEN HE ASKED.There is one sir I said.Nothing to do with the food sir,but with a surname like yours have anyone been struck otherwise when you pick up the phone and say ATTACK,Perhaps in and on exercise ?.,YES A FEW HE REPLIED,As he walked away and now with his back to us he said OH,BY THE WAY YOU WERE ROBBED A MONTH AGO.I thought now thers a soldiers officer,thats why with people like you brigadier we have the best army in the whole wide world and without exception RIP Sir, |
