Pte. John Mould was born in May 1875. He joined The Border Regiment on the 9th Jan.1893 and served with the 2nd Battalion in India 1894-1902 and South Africa 1902-1903. He was a reservist living in Hampton Middlesex when he was re-called to Carlisle on the 14th August 1914. Embarkation took him with the 2nd Battalion to Zeebrugge on the 6th Oct. He was killed in action at Fromelles in France on the 18th December 1914.
Still remembered.
