My #2 Wireless Telegraphist on Landing Craft Flak 38 killed in action during the assualt landings at WALCHERN. A VERY GOOD PAL,and also was a skilled sketch artist who would have gone on to be one of the best artist`s of the Daily Mirror under PETTS who drew the comic "JANE"at that time. Due to an order given by the Senior Officer during the action we exchanged places and he was where I should have been working.
