This man was my Uncle,he served in North Africa,Italy,and Austria during WW2,he worked at Harperbury Hospital in Hertfordshire, Nr St Albans,in the year 1957-1967.He was born in Reading in Berkshire and first jioned the Army in 1939 at Reading Barracks,and ended up in the Reconacance Service attached to the Royal Berks Regiment as a driver,He never married. |

This woman is my Mother,she was in the ATS during the war WW2and served on the Isle Of Wight in 1941 with 619 Battery,she had a friend called Joan Obey,she was born in Reading Berkshire and lived in Notting Hill Gate from 1946-1949 where we moved to Queensbury Kenton Middx in 1949-1953.when we moved to Borehamwood Hertfordshire 1953-1986 when she moved to Watton in Norfolk 1986-1999. |

This lady is my Mother,she joined the ATS in 1941 in Reading Berks,she served on the Isle Of Wight in 1942,she was on 619 battery in East Cowes Whippenham, she had a friend named Joan Obey who came from Steatham south London,my mum came from Reading,Lived in Gt Knollys Street Reading she went to London after the war. |

This man was a RBL Member for many years,although I knew him only in the last two years,he played darts and carpet bowles at the legion,he leaves his wife Joan,and his grown up offspring as well as grand children, a very good man.He was ex national service and served in Palastine in 1948,he died suddenly,and is sadly missed by his mates in the RBL Borehamwood Branch. |

This was mu Uncle Mick,he completed his National Service in the Army, 1945-1947,His Daughter Sharon and Grand daughter Danni sends there rememberances,as does his brother Pat who is now 78 yrs old,Mick died of a heart attack at the age of 51yrs he is sadly missed by all.He was manager of the Victoria Wine in Langley Rd Watford for a number of years. |

This is my Grandfather,he was in WW1,and gased in 1915,and survived the great War,but his chest was left very weak,and he died of T.B. in Battle Hospital Reading,in 1932,leaving seven children to be brought up my his wife.\he is Sadly missed by the members of his family ,who are still living miss him. |

This is my Great Grand father he was born in 1840,and had fought as a drummer boy in the Crimian War of 1850-1854, he was in the Army from the time he was 12 yrs old,he stayed in the Army until he was 60 yrs old in 1900,when he was in his 80s in 1928 he was 88 yrs old and died of shock by falling down 3 steps because he had forgotten his walking stick.RIP |

This man was my next door nieghbour from 1953 to1962 and he also served in Burma, Italy, during the 2nd World War,he left two sons and a daughter also his wife Jessie who is now reunited with him, his two sons are Bill and Terry and daughter Claire |

This was my great uncle Freddie, he was killed in action on the Somme 1916,he has no known grave and is on the Tepviel Memorial France, his body was never found,a hereo of the 1st world war. |
