Edward (Eddie) Coyle
|
13 February 1933 To 18 October 1992 |
| Rutherglen Lanarkshire United Kingdom |
Corporal Edward (Eddie) COYLE.
Born 13 Feb 1933. Died 18 Oct 1992.
I met Eddie at RAF South Witham, Lincs, when he joined the Station in 1951 as a RAF Police Dog Handler and we became best mates. On 8 March 1952, he married Doreen Musson a local girl at the Parish Church, Claypole, Lincs. (Doreen was born 31 Mar 1933 and died 25 Oct 1982).
After completion of our National Service, we lost touch and after many unsuccessful attempts to trace the couple over the years, I finally made contact with their son Mark and his family in 2002. It was then that I was aware that both his parents had passed on. Eddie at the age of 59 years and Doreen at the age of 49 years.
I sincerely hope that they will both Rest in Peace and I still feel terribly sad that one of my previous attempts had not yielded results that were more positive.
