Major Mike Forge was my Squadron Commander in 1 Sqn 21 Signal Regiment when I was SSM from 1976 to 1977. He had so much personality and compassion for all Ranks in the Squadron. He nourished in us all a strong sense of togetherness and mutual support. I was overcome with grief on the announcement that he died in a helicopter crash in the Faulklands in 1982 |
