James Tomlinson Snr
|
To 01 September 1915 |
| Pendleton, Manchester Gtr Manchester England |
My grandfather - Bugler J W Tomlinson served in Flanders with The 6th btn., King’s Own Scottish Borderers. He did his square bashing near Blackpool and was shipped to France in May 1915. His regiment went into the line near Bethune. Records have been destroyed, but it is assumed he was killed by enemy bombardment of the trenches. |
