Patrick Riley
|
15 August 1924 To 31 October 2010 |
| TW1 Middlesex United Kingdom |
Patrick’s ashes were cast out ot sea at Blackpool on 23rd February 2011 at 18:45.
The Royal Navy Lifeboat Institute carried out the ceremony in honour of Pat and announced it via tannoy to those present in the RNLI viewing station.
As the ceremony started the mist came in from the sea during the boat journey out, so as the boat disappeared from view into the mist the announcement was made by the crew, it stated: If you stand with your back to Blackpool Tower and look west, one mile out to sea, Pat’s ashes were scattered to the waves.
If you ever go there, stand and look out to sea, remeber him as he is now where he wanted to be.
