Regret to inform you of the death of ex 22780610 S/Sgt J W Barden, RMP SIB. James previously served with ther Royal Artillery from 1939/45 (42/45 as a POW) and on his release he re-mustered witht the Corps from 1945/1947 advancing to the renkof Coporal. He thern joined the Metropolitan Police and served them from 1948/1973. To keep himself occupied he joined the A E R in 1951 and served with 93 section SIB where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant
