johns bed was opposite mine in E block, he was a real character
weighed about 13/14stone all muscle.he was a farmer from
lancashire and always thought yorkshire farms were rubbish
next to his. he married a nurse, i think from lancaster, we all felt
we knew her. sadly john passed away some years ago of cancer, the lady in slyne post office told me of this.
john always had difficulty writing and most of us wrote his
letters home for him (in his words) his girlfriend as she was then must have it was odd , the writing changed so often. |
