Alan Amers
|
08 August 1923 To 21 September 1971 |
| HULL East Yorkshire |
Alan Amers was my dad, who fought in WW2 as a National Serviceman, part of 1st Airborne Div. at the Battle for Arnhem. He signed up and completed his 22years service after the war, and was in the campaigns in Palestine and Korea. He loved the army, and missed the life very much when he left. He died of kidney failure in 1971, at the very young age of 48. We miss him lots. |
