A Tribute to Flt Sargeant [Chiefy] Binns who served in the RAF during WW2 and after also at Shepherds Grove and then Watton. Together with
Sargeant Barnard he was in charge of a Sqaudron of Lancasters and some Lincolns and took great pride in them. He was popular with his men and had a good sense of humour, as was Sargeant Barnard who was later unfortunatly badly injured in a ditching in the sea off Gibralter On retirement Chiefy Binns owned a garage near Norwich Norfolk . He was. as they say One of the Best |
