A tribute to my colleague John Potter a Securicor Guard who was shot by cowardly bandits whiile delivering money to Northfields Underground
Station from his armoured vehicle, and later died of the wounds he received in the stomach. John was a gallant WW2 veteran soldier being one of the first to land on the beaches in Normandy during the D Day landings in France and very popular with his collegues at the then West Drayton Base, who all missed him greatly And of course, his family and two sons who also worked for Securicor
Long may his name and dedication to Duty be remembered |
