Norman Dore
|
May 1932 To April 2010 |
| Hythe Kent England |
This is in fond rememberance of my brother in law Norman Dore
who served with the regiment of 11nthHussars with distinction in Malaya during the so called’ Emergency’ The regiment was stationed at an airstrip at Porai near the town of Seremban and
from there light aircraft were flown over the jungle to look for the insurgents hide outs, then the troops would be Guided to the spot by trackers This was very difficult and dangerous work
but often met with success. thus making a considerable contribution to the defeat of the communists and freedom for the later Malaysia |
