I met Colin half way through his RAF career; we were married in October 1963. He loved me from the day he met me and was my friend and soulmate.
He was passionately keen on all things flight-wise particularly military aeroplanes and their markings. I enjoyed our visits to airshows and Colin was pleased with my ability to identify the right plane at the right time.
He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in August 2008 and remained a cheerful and positive person to the end.
It’s a mark of the man that friendships he formed years ago still remain and a tribute to him that so many friends were at his funeral.
I am proud to have known him and am the luckiest person because he chose to spend his life with me as his wife.
He will always be in my heart . |
