Robert (Bob) was in the Royal Navy from 1950 to 1972 and was awarded the BEM for Gallantry in 1962. Sadly, Bob passed away in April 2009 after an unsuccessful operation for an aneurism; he had already suffered from an aortic aneurism in 1996 which caused him to have a leg amputated and so confining him to a wheelchair. He suffered this disability with the good humour his family and friends knew well and he is very sadly missed by his wife Yvonne, children Linda, Patricia and Simon, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, the family circle and by his many friends.
