|
To 20 November 1915 |
| Bristol Gloucestershire United Kingdom |
115371 Chief Petty Officer, Albert Edward Ayland, H.M.S. ’’Halcyon’’ Royal Navy, died of illness on 20th November 1915, aged 50, on Active Service during WWI.
Albert is buried in Avon View Cemetery, Beaufort Road, St George, Bristol. PD. 40.
I believe Albert was my great grandmother Clara Browning nee Ayland’s brother and that he was the landlord of the Lord Raglan, Nags Head Hill, St George (a lost Bristol Public House) in 1914, later ran by his wife Matilda. |
