My father served this country in war and peace time , serving with the Royal Navy on the North atlantic convey run. With the ship he was serving in coming under torpedo attack at least three times,( luckly the ship + crew were able to survie the attacks ) Then Later was sent to the Royal Air Force and joined the famous 617 Sqn as a aircraft mech. But his heart always was with his ship mates and the R.N. So when he passed away it was only right that he had a full R.N. miltary service. Dads service ways contiued through his sons with one joined the Royal Navy ( Fleet Air Arm ) one the Army 1st Battlen Royal Warkicshire , finerly Royal Air Force . So stand easy dad till we meet again! |
