Dad served with the R.A.O.C. ( Royal Army Ordnance Core ) during the war, his overseas service took Dad to various countries.
From 25th April 1940 to 16th November 1943 - Middle East Force.
From 17th November 1943 to 22nd April 1944 - North Africa and Italy.

He was issued with 6 Medals during the war.
1939-1945 Star. Africa Star. Italy Star. France and Germany Star.
Defence Medal. And of course the war medal 1939-1945.
Dad was also a member of the Royal British Legion, who over the years have been very supportive and caring in what they have provided for Mum and Dad. So as a family we are very proud of Dad in the way he served his country and it is very proper and respectful that we see the Union Jack Flag draped over his coffin and also the Standard Bearer.
God Bless you and rest in Peace |
