To the memory of Private 75251 Joseph Swarbrick, 1st/6th Bn.Northumberland Fusiliers. Died Monday,27th May,1918 France and Flanders. No known grave but remembered on a memorial at Soissons, France.
''He left all that was dear to him, endured hardness, faced danger,and finally passed out of the sight of man by the path of sacrifice and duty, giving his own life that others might live.''
All who knew him are now dead but his memory will last |
