George Douglas
|
February 1924 To November 1997 |
| STAFFORD STAFFORDSHIRE United Kingdom |
To the memory of George Cocksedge Douglas, my stepfather who served in REME as an NCO.He eventually rose to the rank of Sergeant having started as a dispatch rider and eventually driving a Sherman tank. His tank was knocked-out on the beaches on D-Day.He also got his parachute wings and was very proud to wear his regimental tie. He was a very amiable and generous man who was extremely easy to befriend. One of a kind who will always be missed by the family he adored. |
