My father joined the Navy when he was 16 years old. He trained at HMS Fisgard and HMS Caladonia. His last ship was HMS Cumberland (trial ship) where he was stationed in Malta. He was knocked down and killed in Malta. He is now buried in Malt. I am sending off for MOD papers and have already pieced together some of his Naval history. I am interested to hear from any one who may remember him as a Royal Engineer on HMS Cumberland. I am his youngest daughter who never knew him as he died 5 months before I was born. Any information is welcome. Ksthy |
