A wonderful family man and friend to many. Dave joined the RAF in October 1963 and served in 6 RAF bands including The Central band where he achieved the rank of Flt.Sgt/ Drum major. He survived the Germany Band coach crash in 1985 and served in the first Gulf War in a medical capacity.
He was a serving member of the Salvation Army, played in the RAFA presidents Band and was Chairman of RAF Music Services for 5 years as well as editor of the Blue and the Gold magazine.He is very much missed by friends and colleagues. |
