| Hindley, Nr. Wigan Lancashire England |
Remembering uncle Peter 11th. Batt. Lancashire Fusiliers k.i.a. 16th. October, 1944. resting in Faenza Mil. cemetary, Italy, I knew him but do not remember him, as I was to young, his son Peter, who he never saw, and myself wanted to visit the grave, unfortunately Peter died suddenly in 1979, and did not make it, I visited for both of us, and put something in the book at the cemetary. I was always told he was a grand man, who tried to get the youngsters in his platoon out of the way when things were going badly . He will always be remembered, as a good Lancashire lad |
