BFPO Postage Petition Gets
Results!
Forces Reunited has been running a BFPO petition in
recent months, campaigning to get free postage to forces stationed
abroad reinstated and we’ve have had a massive response, with well
over 15,000 people signing the petition.
Working with
our friends at Support our Soldiers, this has produced some
fantastic results. The MOD has agreed that a
voucher scheme to aid with postage is technically and logistically
feasible and has also agreed that this should not be funded at the
expense of anything else in the Operational Welfare Package. Another
exciting development is that the cost of sending a 2kg package to
Iraq or Afghanistan should reduce from £6.50 to £5.31 by the autumn.
All of this is fabulous news to
forces posted abroad and their families.

SSAFA Parachute Jump
Our very own Business Development Manager Justin
Turner will be doing a tandem parachute jump on the weekend of the
21st July in aid of SSAFA Forces Help.
SSAFA Forces Help is the leading national charity helping the
serving and ex-Service members of the British Armed Forces and their
families in times of need, suffering and distress. It is, I’m sure
you’ll all agree, a very worthwhile cause.
We would like to raise as much sponsorship as possible, and are
therefore appealing to you all for your help. Please could we ask
you to sponsor Justin. It can be as little, or as much as you like,
it all adds up.
He's very nervous about the jump, as it’s like nothing He's ever
done, however the more money he raises, the better He'll feel about
it!
To sponsor him, please send a cheque made payable to "SSAFA Forces
Help", to:
Please could you include your address so that we can put this onto
the sponsorship form so that SSAFA can claim Gift Aid on each
donation (worth an extra 28p per £1 donated!).
100% of all the sponsorship we receive will be going to SSAFA, so
please be as generous as you can.

the jump we’ll get some photos put up on the site to show that He's
really done it!!
