 We went through raf police basic training together and were both posted to the same unit - 1001 su, raf oakhanger, on 28 december 1971.
when i got married on 28 october 1972, i obviously asked bob to be my best man.
we lost touch whilst i was in germany and bob came out of the raf in 1982 and a letter nearly reached him for our silver wedding but got lost in the post between his old house and indonesia where he was working.
we both registered with forces reunited within days of each other and made contact almost immediately, spending over an hour on the phone catching up. Steve Cattell
