After 25rys, wonderful to be in touch with chalky! we were in the thick of it all on the galahad and afterwards at stanley . without chalky and his wonderful humour and knack of procuring equipment and anything else we needed to keep us medics in business at a crucial time we would have had a far harder task in coping with the casualties and just keeping morale up and keeping us fed!!out of all the sad and bad things that made the falklands war chalky was like a fairy-godfather to many of us. thankyou my friend. i have had ups and downs with ptsd for years now and the time was never right to get in touch with the past but our lives move on and good friends are few, so after 24yrs, which was the last time we met at my farewell from 2fld hospital in aldershot i hope to renew contact with a few of the lads. my wife has badgered me for ages to do this and i am pleased that some good has come of it now. memories are not all bad and sad and those times out there were shared by one and all in the same boat. my thoughts go to our boys in iraq and all the hassle they have to put up with, lets hope they too have a chalky white to keep their spirits up at a bad time!!! god bless Peter Naya
