Reunions Arranged
Reunion Name:Boys Squadron RAC 1952-1957

I served with #6 parachute surgical team. there was also # 5 team, our job was to jump with the 16th independent para brigade group in the 1950's. we saw service in the middle east and germany,as well as the u.k. both teams were designed to relieve each other, one working while the other slept before switching roles, or both working at the same time if needs be. with four in each team, it was a hard blow when two guy's were killed and one so badly injured that he was invalided out of the army. i had already left the army when i met the colonel while climbing in scotland and got this news and that my replacement had been killed in borneo. i am in touch with one of the remaining "boy's," who is in cornwall, while i live in canada, and thru joining forces reunited (which i came upon accidently while surfing the military sites on the net)i have recently been put in touch with another of the originals, alan is in sunderland, and we have every hope of contacting the invalided member of our group thru' alan.the remaining two are still "awol" and we would like to complete the team. i am also impressed with f/r. for, while reading their list of names, i recognize three or four other guy's who were in the unit at the same time, but in different sections. i feel a little embarrassed about contacting them, in case they don't remember me, but i think that i will take the chance. after all if it were not for f/r. i would not be offered this opportunity would i ? please accept the heartfelt thanks of an old jumper, for putting us in touch after, you guess the number of years, cos' it makes me feel too old. best wishes, "scouse" wright. airborne !! Fred Wright.
