In 1966 whilst serving at raf thorney island, hants. gordon and sally black moved into the cottage adjoining ours, in emsworth, hants. as many forces friends do, we lost touch, going our different ways, such is life! sally and gordon nearly had their first baby in our front room (as they were called all that time ago). we searched fr for many years to find them, resulting in nothing but disappointment. this year however, they appeared in 'your friends' on the forces reunited website. a short email and telephone call put us in touch. since this initial contact we have flown to scotland to see them renewing our long lost friendship, we talked nonstop for days, as if it were yesterday, recalling the 39 years that have gone by! meeting at the same time, their grown up family and grand children this renewed friendship has resulted in them coming to see us in hertfordshire for a brief holiday. pauline and i can truly and heartfully thank fr for making the reunion possible. barrie [taff] davies Barrie Davies
