'Add me to your Saved Friends' - What is this? Name: | Mish Davenport |
 | | Nick Name: | Mish | | Service Number: | Q8203158 | | RAF Base/Squadron 1: | RAF North Luffenham - (1980-1981) | | RAF Base/Squadron 2: | RAF Gatow - (1981-1983) | | RAF Base/Squadron 3: | RAF Innsworth - (1984-1986) | | RAF Base/Squadron 4: | Signals Unit - 146 (1987-1989) Trade: Interpreter/Linguist | | Rank: | Corporal | | Year Joined: | 1980 | | Year Left: | 1989 | | Where are you now?: | The first 6 months after leaving the RAF were quite difficult, and unexpectedly found myself joining the Civil Service as a Radio Officer. From there it was quite quickly into computing and a few years at GCHQ and CESG. I emigrated to New Zealand in 2001 and am now working for NZ Police in the ICT department doing information security work. If anyone reading this knows Paul Blowers (a former ROT), believe it or not I work with him in the same officer - it's a VERY small world! Oh yes, I eventually settled down, sobered up and got married and have 3 boys (the eldest about to leave home, I hope), 3 dogs (one about to turn his toes up), several finch bird things and some tropical fish. |
