Eventually I became restless and emigrated to the USA to start a new life. In time I met and married a Hungarian girl and together we founded and built a high-tech manufacturing company which recently celebrated its fiftieth birthday. I wrote a book about that, too, and sold a couple of thousand hard-bound copies before turning my attention to 'Love and Sand', my WWII saga which is on its way to becoming a movie. |

 Sometimes you give up hopes of finding old friends! ken and jacky lived in the same block of flats as my wife and i, 42 years ago whilst we served in the raf. i became god father to their first daughter. they were posted to germany and we lost contact.two weeks ago a name the same as his popped up on my friends list, i made tentative contact, and the reunion has been made. we have talked at length on the phone and have arranged to meet.
42 years is along time, it just proves it's worth checking on this site, don't give up!
