Just retired in Orkney and enjoying catching up with the DIY. I enjoy a bit of swimming and try to keep fit. I've learned, for my sins, to play the bagpipes and fiddle because I like that kind of music (Along with many other styles though) I joined the RN Pipers Society so I get trips back to Pompey and get a bit of old navy craic etc.,

We both joined the royal navy in january 1978 at hms raleigh, after out initial training we went on to hms mercury then our respective ships,in those days you all mean to keep in touch but never do,we lost touch from around 1979, i have been out of the navy for twenty years and having joined your site have found many old friends tim been one of them.
currentley reside in hull where i am a prison governor at hmp hull.
