We were drafted to h.m.s. tiger in 1964, became run ashore buddies, got up to young sailors antics as you do, played a lot of football at quite a high level, went our separate ways in the world, having nearly burned ourselves out going round south america (some run ashore that was). dennis done his twelve and left the mob to be a paramedic for nearly 30yrs before continuing in the same profession, but, running his own business as a trainer. i went out to the far east for a stint, returned to the u.k. joined submarines 1967, left boats in 1986 to run pubs and restaurants until 2003 with a break selling life assurance from 1990 - 1998. my son recently dragged me out of the 16th century, went halves on this laptop, i expunged the candle on my mark 1 computer and found forces reunited, got inquisitive, and then "hey presto", i'm meeting an old shipmate in september coming.
