 I first served with pete in germany when we were 3rha j bty. we came back to colchester in 1970 and our time there saw the regiment back and forward to n/ireland. pete was injured during a riot in londonderry. i didn't really see pete again after that as the regiment went to hong kong for 2 years. i bumped into pete again on burtonwood services and we met again quite regularly as he had a weekly run to liverpool. suddenly, i stopped seeing him bit within 2.5 hours of posting a message on forces reunited, i was sent details of his current address and phone number as well as details of another former j bty member.
