Where are you now?:Dad had a serious problem on an ankle that needed major surgery, but afterwards, he could not balance on a rolling deck. He was offered shore establishment’s for the rest of his time, but he didn’t like the idea of never getting a sea draft, so he took up the Navy’s offer and was invalided out. Unfortunately, he crossed the bar on the 05/06/2004 after a long and painful illness. If you have any memories of him, please get in touch. Thanks for taking time to read this . I am well rehearsed in the noble art of RUM drinking, especially pussers!

Who had to finish the job on the Essberger by sinking it, after the 3 torpedo's Dreadnought had put into it, had failed to sink it.

Dorsetshire had the privelege of striking the last blows on the Bismarck, that was after firing 254 shells first, but unfortunately she herself was sunk by the Japanese off Ceylon 05/04/1942

Does anyone remember falling in here, if so, where and when.
My father is in this lot.
This is the 1954 winning pulling crew from the plymouth regatta, the winning crew were each given a set cuff links, my mother still has my dads somewhere.

This is a photo of when my dad was on a boating course at Raleigh, he is the Lt on the front end, the Sub Lt. on the other front end was his Jimmy one.

The M1. It was on the October 25th 1925 she was rammed by the SS Vidal off Start Point and sadly lost with all hands
HMS Otus she was launched in 1928, but during the war, she was fired upon by HMS Talisman who fired all her torpedo's at Otus, fortunately, they all missed.
HMS Dreadnought trying to sink the drifting Essberger, she used 3 torpedo's to do this. but HMS Salisbury had to finish the job.
