Where are you now?:1964 - Left the RAF and had went through a period of change. Worked as an electrical design engineer, electronic maintenance engineer, ships radio officer, long distance truck driver, lecturer in computing at Birmingham Computer Programming College (becoming EDP) Manager), implementation engineer on Birmingham to MInsk communication line, organisation & Methods Superintendent at Ford Dagenham works. 1969 - Migrated to Australia as a Radio Technician, landing in Melbourne, Victoria. I had a job in computing within a week and started with Australian Consolidated Industries (ACI) converting manual administration systems onto computer. 1976 - Went to work with Comlec Consulting a boutique firm pioneered by Robert Leck. Worked on the result of the split up of the Postmaster General Department into Australia Post and Telecom. Work ran out and I got a job with NCR as a software consultant to the Melbourne Board of Works. 1977 - Saw the light and moved to Brisbane, Queensland. 1998 - Made a mistake and moved to Sydney for four years. 2002 - Managed to recover from previous mistake and moved back to Brisbane. On leaving the RAF in 1964, I pretty quickly moved into the computer field where I have been ever since. I now work as a consultant to government in the Business and Systems areas of Information Technology. I have no plans to retire.

Thanks to forces reunited, i have been able to contact a fellow who shared the same billett as i, and i might add, many a good night out, when i was in the raf in germany in 1957-1960, losing contact with him after i was posted back to the uk. i registered on fr and shortly after, brian contacted me. we now correspond on a fairly regular basis, by way of the internet, visiting being out of the question, for now, due to my living in australia. brian was able to bring me up to date on several of the other lads who were in our group. all due to this great site, forces reunited, thanks again. tony sayers.
