I married Taff Phillis and we lived in Gosport for 12yrs, then Jim left the navy and we moved to the midlands. I am now a volunteer for the library service, after being unable to work due to having 5 strokes over 8yrs. We have 3 children, 2boys and a girl. boys are aged 21,19 and girl is 16. James is at University in his last yr. Michael is a trained chef, and works for Sainsbury’s and Kirstie has just started college on a Beauty therepy course. My husband Jim has just started stoke university on a Part time course for a Degree in Photography. We have been married 22yrs now, and are happy. We have a dog and a cat and are quite active, even though I am disabled. I am also chair of our local Secondary school PTFA and have been for the past 4yrs.since i wrote this 4yrs ago, we have now been married almost 26yrs, james is qualified and also a teacher, michael lives in wales and will be a dad in 1-2weeks time, and kirstie is qualified and is 19yrs old and doing well with her life, she is also a beautiful young woman.
(2011) - My life has now changed - my eldest son james is now married, my middle son is now living in wales and my grandaughter is now 3yrs old, and my daughter is now 23yrs old, but still living at home. My life is changed. i have had to give up work as i am now disabled, and my husband has developed epilepsy quite badly. we lead a full filling life though and dont let things get us down. i spend my time at home with my family and keep my brain taxted alot by reading etc. we have now been married for 29yrs and are happy. now and again we wonder wat happened to some of our lovely neightbours from gosport, and a couple of our friends from the navy, namely simon langly and elaine moss, who was my eldest son’s godmother. but life goes on, and u do the best u can. |

 Being a new member to f/r one hopes to get some results, well what can i say, it as been some 37 years since my crew mates and i parted,i am in touch with two up to now,but have found many lost ship mates from the three ships i served,through your friends search pages. many many thanks colin Colin Westworth
