Fred and i joined the navy together as boy entrants in 1963,we did our training at h.m.s. ganges for twelve months (it was tough)we then were sent in 1964 to h.m.s. raleigh for a few weeks while awaiting our drafts to ships. we both were drafted to hms troubridge which we were on for two years, during which time we went to different countries, we had some good laughs and became firm friends,we even had tatoos on our arms(bob and fred pals forever, with a picture of two hands clasped)in 1966 i was getting married to a girl from plymouth and fred was to be our best man,we then both received our new drafts, me to the niaad and fred to the dundus, and as it turned out fred was due to be at sea the day we got married.from that time we lost touch.years later through friends reunited and forces reunited i started to look for him again, and just two weeks ago,42 years later i have found him. mywife and i are going to see him and his wife and family next week in newcastle.he lives in ryton newcastle england. we live in limavady, co londonderry n, ireland.cheers bob.Bob Gordon
