Born in Torquay in August 1944 moved to West Benwell, Newcastle upon Tyne when 2 years old, returned to Torquay when 11 years old, now having to learn a new English language called Devonian, failed 11 Plus couldn’t understand a word anyone said, fail 14 plus, lost interest, only interested in electronics which is no good when going to a farming school in Torquay. Left school at 14 and half years to do an apprenticeship in Radio and Television, at the same time at seventeen years old, had a taxi business in Torquay until I Joined the RAF in 1968 till 1975.
Returned to Buckfastleigh in 1975 where I still live with second wife Kay, re-married 1985. Obtained an Amateur Radio Licence in 1981 (G6ZKQ).
I have been a consultant to the Saudi Arabian Government since 1990 on communications and scrambling, occasionally working and teaching in Riyadh and in the UK teaching communication.
I also taught Electronics at the local Ashburton Community College, Stover Girls school, Knowles Hill Comprehensive Newton Abbot and Ashburton Comprehensive school until recently. Also, a City & Guilds of London Question writer & Examiner for a number of years.
We have 3 parrots and a Rook called Jackie 8 yrs – 2 African Greys called Chester 11 yrs & Kasuku 23 yrs plus a Blue Crowned Conure called Connie 26 yrs, Chester currently has about 250 words under his wing and sings opera, the others just hum along. While Jackie likes to watch TV and drink Scotch whisky. Many of you have already met.
Proprietor of a Multimedia Studio, in Buckfastleigh, Devon - producing, Films, Web design, Teaching, IT & Communications, also an Internet Service Provider and web designer.
I have been working with computers since 1963 so I have served my apprenticeship and vaguely know what to do with the keyboard.
Hobbies are Landscape Photography with a reasonable amount of success with a watercolour artist Dr. Peter Edwards doing exhibitions all over the county. And I love cooking. Anything else is on the secrets list that I had to sign in 1975 when I left the RAF.

 I joined forces reunited to see if i could contact any old mates, and lo and behold i have had an e mail from an old friend from my time in aden 1958 i had given up hope of finding anyone, we are now corresponding and swapping old photos after 47 years.
this site is very well named.
