 ernie loined hms cheviot in gibralta 1950,we were togetherwhen we changed ships company to hms chevron,
we were ship mates and sparing partners untill i was sent back to england jan 1952,
i nwver heard what happend to ernie ,
i was playing around on my p/c when i came across f/r, i filled out all the information on the form
but never took out membership,
this year i got an emal from f/r telling me that i email in my in box, imagine my surprize to see that ernie had seen my name in f/r and sent me emails,
i finally got in touch with him, now we are talking all the time, i have phoned him a couple of times and we have a great time going over old times,
this is after 56 years.
guess this has to be a record,
