I was called up for National Service in the Gloucestershire Regt and did my basic training with the Royal Hampshires, under The Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regt,anybody remembers this are welcome to contact me.Hampshire boys went to British Hoduras,we joined the Glosters at Dover, then Lydd via Derna, to be split up when the Battalion went to Cyprus,most of my contemporarys went to Honiton but I and a few other finished our service at Tidworth with The DOERR. |
