Belfast in 1980 written by Douglas Le - Blond
Initiating a bet with the then Capt Allen that he could not find a coconut in Dreary Belfast while on patrol with the Sqn Leaders rover Group, we zoomed all over Belfast and lo and behold he found one from some little grocer shop in the new lodge. I have forgotten what the forfeit was, but it was Humerous at best.CAT 1985, what was that all about, talk about hard Graft, with 2 nd Troop Eagle Sqn with Lord Doak of Doak Hall, (driver) brec stewart (Gunner)old uncle Dicky Whelan(Commander) and myself operator.
It was hard work. |
