BASIC TRAINING in 1987
written by mararet mooney

Anyone remember basic training at guildford surrey 1987? where you a member of 2 or maybe 1 platoon intake feb 87, do you remember pte mooney, morris(patsy),saywell(jackie),harding(michelle),rothwell(marina),stoney(susan),brown(denise) do you also remember corporal jennings and what a star she was,we had our best times there did we not? do you also remember the the cattle markets that they used to send us to (they called them discos) you must remember private starr and how they threatened to not allow her to pass out with the rest of us? if you remember that you must also remember how we all stuck together to make sure that it did not happen and how we would all make stoneys bed and make sure that her kit along with private saywells and private rothwells was up to scratch, and what about the shambles they called excersise bootbreaker, they brought us all back to camp to sleep instead of camping out because the winds were too high ( no wonder the guys called us pussies) any way if anyone remembers private mooney or morris please get in touch as it would be great to hear from you again.
