Raf Spitalgate in 1968 written by Marian Mauger
Sept 1968, D flight, what a fantastic time we all had. As I recall we could go home if we didn't like it before we took 'The Oath'! I never fully recovered from the shock of moving those wardrobes around to polish the floorwith things called 'bumpers'. I do remember that our group walked off the map and got very lost on our orienteering day, I'd never been so tired, but when we returned to barracks we had to bull the room because one girl had left her hair rollers on the bed. Happy days! |
