aden in 1965
written by brian boyle

went to little aden to make up the numbers for the irish guards we were a platoon of the scots guards boy was it hot,we went up to the radfan in a tented area that was an eye opener we were attacked by arabs flys and baboons???. The sad thing about all is that we lost 4 good lads (irish guards)when they were doing a demo on a wombat when the round went off in the barrel killing my 4 mates that was behind the gun then haveing to bury them in a place called silent vally with a lone piper playing the last lament it was sad.
