nil in 1977

 I was in the RAFRegiment from 1949-53, but the year i most remember has nothing to do with the forces,1977 started well, our 25th wedding anniversary in April,we went to Spain for 10 days( what a dump Pinedia) in June my mother-in-law died,August my mother died, September my father died and our eldest daughter was getting married in November, She wanted to postpone it,i said no,and had a chat(over the phone)with my bank manager(nat-west now) he said "what has been happening to you", when i told him(over the phone mind) he said i will cover all cheques for the wedding but you will have to make sure you stay in the black if it is only a penny, i was mining then,and did not see a lot of daylightHA HA, so it was and is a hell of memory year. |
